Oncology specialists may practice clinical medicine in private practices, teach at universities, or participate in bench-top or clinical research. Many do some combination of those things. As cancer therapies have advanced over the years, our oncologists have kept abreast of the latest treatments to provide comprehensive and up-to-date options for your pet.
The board certified oncologists at Sage are committed to providing the best possible care to pets diagnosed with cancer. We are primarily focused on patient care, but we also participate in clinical trials (designed to find new treatments for cancer), work in collaboration with veterinary schools for both teaching and research purposes, and are involved in education within our community of veterinarians and pet-owners. We will perform a systemic evaluation of your pet and decide on the best treatment plan, which may include chemotherapy, cryotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, or a combination of methods. Our goal is to provide you with a range of therapies to best meet your needs and the needs of your pet and to do it with the utmost care and compassion. Sage doctors are experts in oncology. For more information on the different treatments offered by our oncologists, please visit the client resources page where you can download the Oncology brochure. |
